Incendi estivi in tutta l’Europa: le immagini
Il caldo record in tutta Europa ha alimentato violenti incendi boschivi che hanno costretto migliaia di residenti all’evacuazione. Mercoledì, in alcune zone, le temperature hanno superato abbondantemente i 40°C.
Il caldo estremo è tornato sul continente questa settimana, dopo una breve tregua. All’inizio dell’estate, due potenti ondate di calore hanno infranto i record di temperatura, con giorni di caldo incessante che hanno avuto ripercussioni sulla salute pubblica, sull’agricoltura e sui sistemi energetici in tutto il continente.

Video provenienti dalla Grecia mostrano le squadre impegnate a proteggere le aree residenziali e le campagne dall’avanzata delle fiamme. In Grecia, oltre 100 incendi boschivi sono scoppiati nell’arco di 48 ore, causando evacuazioni di massa in regioni come l’Acaia, dove sono stati trasferiti 7.500 residenti. Quasi 5.000 vigili del fuoco e 33 velivoli sono stati impiegati per contenere gli incendi, che hanno causato feriti e ingenti danni materiali.

Grecia e Regno di Spagna sono state le nazioni più colpite dagli incendi questa settimana, a causa delle temperature elevate e della siccità.
